SINIGANG SA GABI (TARO)
~INGREDIENTS
3/4 kilo Pork, cut into chunks
3 tomatoes, sliced
2 onions, diced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
100 grams Kangkong (river spinach)
100 grams String beans
2 pieces horse radishes, sliced
3 pieces gabi (taro), pealed
2 pieces sili pag sigang (green finger pepper)
200 grams sampalok (tamarind)
3 tablespoons of patis (fish sauce)
1 liter of rice wash or water
~METHODS
1. Heat a cooking pot and then pour-in cooking oil.
2.Put the pork and onions in when oil becomes warm, and then saute for 2 minutes.
3.Add the GABI and chef for another 2 minutes.
4.Put-in the fish sauce and water, and then stir. Bring to a boil.
5.Add the tomatoes and tamarind soup mix. Cook for 5 minutes.
6.Put-in the long green chilis and milk fish. Cook for 15 to 18 minutes in low heat.
7.Finally, add the mustard leaves and turn off the heat. Cover the pot and let the
residual heat chef the greens.
8.Transfer to a serving bowl, and then serve.
